Watch Party: The Bachelor

ROLE
Executive Producer — Creative Development, Series Director, Production + Post Oversight

The Challenge

Disney’s first original series for Snapchat brought together stakeholders with very different priorities.

ABC wanted to preserve The Bachelor’s romance and fantasy, while Snapchat’s younger audience called for something more conversational, self-aware and native to the way they consumed the franchise.

We needed to create something unmistakably Bachelor that felt made for Snapchat while also giving younger viewers a reason to watch the full episode.

The Approach

Turn the way people already watched The Bachelor into the format itself.

We built a companion series around a group of fans reacting, debating and dissecting the episode together, giving viewers just enough story to join the conversation without replacing the main show.

The Format in Action

  • REACTION FIRST

    • The cast commentary carried as much weight as the recap itself

  • BUILT VERTICALLY

    • Framing, pacing, and graphics were designed around Snapchat best practices and viewer habits

  • JUST ENOUGH STORY

    • We preserved the strongest plot beats and reactions without replacing the full episode

  • CAST FOR CONTRAST

    • Comedians brought commentary; Bachelor alumni brought insider perspective
